Olive is a senior at Rhode Island School of Design in the Textiles BFA program with a concentration in Nature-Culture-Sustainability Studies.
From investigating sustainable agriculture methods to exploring human relationships with the ocean, Olive finds her work inextricably tied to nature and the environment, always interested in telling stories about the nature of things. Whether making textiles or animated work, she hopes to find light in even dark situations.
As a student, she has worked as a fabric silkscreen teacher's assistant, textiles studio monitor, and barista. Additionally, she has gained experience in the field by interning at Elite Textiles in Hangzhou, China and Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, New York City.
Olive's personal interests include learning about agriculture, spending time with animals, listening to the ocean, and seeking out good food. She loves the sun and is from San Diego, California.
